«Emo Shred (Demo)» appears only a couple of months after the release of their debut album, «Superstar». When creativity hits, there is no point of slowing down.

Mall Girl are busy working in the studio, with eyes focused on the prize – which is their sophomore album. There are no dates set yet for that release, but while noodling around in the studio, the band decided that they wanted to release some snippets of what is going on in the Mall Girl world.

The name might have already given it away, but «Emo Shred (Demo)» takes inspiration from the much popular Midwest Emo genre, with Iver Tandsæther’s guitar riff leading the way on this beautiful ballad.

It’s a short song, but the riff and hook makes it almost impossible to forget, and Bethany Forseth-Rechberg’s dreamy vocals will make both Frank Ocean and Clairo nod their heads in recognition.
